Randy Simmons Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 11, 2023.
Randy Wayne Simmons July 13, 1949 January 4, 2023 Randy Simmons passed away on Wednesday, January 4th in Stephenville, Texas. Better known as "Pa" to those that really knew him, Randy loved everyone and never met a stranger. He was a shameless Mama's boy! Pa's pride and joy was his grandkids and he enjoyed watching them do what they loved. All of his family was very important to him, but he definitely had his favorites they know who they are. He never missed a chance to talk and trade stories and if he could make someone laugh or smile then his day was made! He perfected the family brittle recipe and loved sharing his yummy creations (which everyone will miss). When he was with his friends, there was no doubt that the BS was deep! Randy was born in Crowell, Texas on July 13, 1949 to William and Lee Ellen Simmons (the youngest of four children). He is preceded in death by his wife Micki, both of his parents, and sisters Pammy Simmons and Sandra Pruitt (as well as her husband, Billy). Randy leaves behind son Brandon Reese and wife Ivette of Carrollton, daughter Keri Lesur and husband Antoine of Stephenville, son Brady Simmons and wife Katie of Weatherford, seven grandchildren (Alec, Madi, Harper, Kynzi, Ashton, Karsyn, and Konleigh), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held to honor Randy on January 14, 2023 at 10:30 am at Lower Greens Creek Cemetery in Dublin, TX. All are welcome to come and celebrate Randy. If so inclined, in lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Erath County Meals on Wheels (310 W Lingleville Rd, Stephenville, TX 76401).
