Raven Rene Porter entered eternal rest at her residence on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the age of 42. She was a native and resident of Avondale, LA. Raven was a graduate of L.W. Higgins High School and Delgado Community College. She was employed as a Lab Assistant with Ochsner Medical Center, and formerly employed as a Phlebotomist with Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. Devoted mother of Gabriel Michael Porter. Daughter of Grace Porter and the late Michael Williams. Granddaughter of the late Nora Williams, Lawrence Williams, Gertrude Porter, and Walter Porter. Sister of Christina Porter, Corey Porter, and Christopher Porter. Aunt of Terry Grows Jr., Corey Porter Jr., Chloe Porter, and Zoe Porter. Niece of Vivian Farnum, Lois Ann Witchard, Elizabeth Singleton, Dwight Williams, Lester Porter, Freeman Porter, Marshall Porter and the late Cynthia Mitchell, Cynthia Landry, Freddie Porter, Bryan Porter and Gene Augusta. Sister-in-Law of Shanell Porter, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Christian Life Bible Church and neighboring churches; members of R.E.A.C.H (Resourcefully Extending a Caring Heart) are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Christian Life Bible Church, 16 Westbank Expressway, Gretna, LA on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
