Ray Lee Deihl, 58, of Carlisle died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Born June 13, 1951, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Lester and Mae Powers Deihl.
He was previously employed by Pilgrim's Pride of New Oxford. He was a longtime member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299, Carlisle. Ray was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Surviving are five daughters, Serena Rickrode of Mt. Holly Springs, Jenny Richwine of Carlisle, Irene Griffie (and husband, Noel) of Carlisle, Susan Comerer (and husband, Ronnie) of Mt. Holly Springs and Kayla Booze of Carlisle; one son, Raymon Deihl of Carlisle; and eight grandchildren, Rebecca Marlowe, Kevin Richwine, April Richwine, R. J. Comerer, Jasmine Griffie, Keith Marlowe, Eric Comerer and Dylan Griffie. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Deihl Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
At the family's request, contributions may be made to the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
