Peacefully in his sleep at the Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew on Saturday morning, November 19th, 2011. Raymond Joseph "Ray" Fridgen of Arnprior at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Blanche (nee Robillard). Dearly loved father of Donald (Nina) of Peterborough; Dennis (Pat) of Renfrew; David (Sue) of Arnprior; Dale Pepin (Jeff) of Renfrew; Danny (Kara) of Troy, N.Y.; Darcy (Cathy) of Arnprior and Darin (Debbie Schwarzkopf) of Tampa, Florida. Special "Dad" of Sharon Chaput (Durell) of Westmeath. Dear brother of Bill Fridgen (late Mary) of Iroquois, Ontario; Martha Geisinger (late Paul) and Millie Shyba (late Jack), both of Calgary. Predeceased by a brother, Joey and 2 sisters: Thelma Fox (late Joe) and Violet Risling. Ray is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to the Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior for visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Tuesday morning, November 22nd at 11 o'clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Ray, a donation to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family. Knights of Columbus will assemble at the funeral home for prayers on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. Legion tribute will take place on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.
