Ray White Obituary
Ray Copeland White, 72, of 169 Four Mile Desert Road, Hertford, NC, died Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.
Mr. White was born in Perquimans County on October 11, 1943, and was the son of the late Clyde Melton, Sr. and Edna Copeland White. A retired bridge operator from the North Carolina Department of Transportation Bridge Division after 33 years of employment, he was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Clyde Melton White, Jr. and John Edward White.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 46 years, Marty Towe White; two daughters, Stephanie White and Amy McLean, both of Florida City, FL; and a son, Rodney White of Hertford.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in Cedarwood Cemetery by the Rev. James Spaugh. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
