Raychel Amy Chin, age 18, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. Raychel was born on March 18, 1996 to Gregory Chin and Cherilyn Ray Bower. She was a senior at Clark High School in San Antonio and sang in the choir at the University United Methodist Church. Raychel was a vintage soul, very social, always bubbly and full of life. She taught herself to speak Russian and was able to speak Mandarin, as well as German. She loved to travel and was an avid gardener. Raychel spread light with her beautiful smile and was always helpful to anyone in need. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Home Chey Chin. Raychel is survived by her parents, Greg Chin and Cherilyn Bower; siblings Emily, Elija, and Kurtis Chin; grandparents; Lillian and Barry Bower; grandmother, Eloisa Chin; uncles, Dean Bower and wife, Candie; John Chin and wife, Vanessa; and Mark Chin; aunts, Rose Davila and husband, Ron; and Sylvia Flores; cousins, Mattie, Caden, Christopher, Nikki, Jennifer, Edward, Aaron, Erika and Vanessa. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014 at University United Methodist Church. Raychel will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. SERVICE THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2014 6:00 P.M. UNIVERSITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 5084 DEZAVALA RD In lieu of flowers, a benefit account has been set up in the name of Raychel Chin at San Antonio Credit Union.
