Raymond E. Backo, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Raymond's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Ramanujan and the staff of UHS Home Health Care as well as the staff at Binghamton General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 6 at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Windsor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Im sorry to hear of the loss of Mr Backo. I have many fond memories of playing basketball in their backyard with Brad and many of the neighbors. I broke my leg there and got banned a few times for acting like an idiot.i remember most though the Backos being very welcoming of all the neighbor kids. Most of all i will remember Mr Backo coaching my little league team.
