Raymond Braithwaite Obituary

Raymond S. Braithwaite (Ray) Gone Fishing   Ray returned to his Father in Heaven, February 21, 2004.  He was born January 20, 1923 in Manti, Utah, to Lawrence and Lucy Smith Braithwaite. Later, he was a Big Brother to 12 children born to Lawrence and Neva Buthcher Braithwaite. Married Leola May Jackman, June 6, 1942. Leola died in April of 2000. Preceded in death by their daughter Sharon Hayden.  Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ray overcame the Great Depression and Rheumatic Fever, with dignity. Dad worked at Kennecott Copper for 35 years, providing well for his family. Dad loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. Dad will be missed dearly and will always be in our hearts, forever. Thanks for being the best Father on earth and thanks for being ours. Ray is survived by four children, RaNae (Ben) Bullough, Mona (Don) Carter, Rodney Braithwaite and Marty Rymer; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Devotional services will be held Saturday, Feb. 28th, 10:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Rd. A viewing will follow from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.

DAD WE ARE MISSING YOU SO MUCH, BUT YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR PAIN AND SUFFERING AND WITH YOUR BEAUTIFUL MOTHER LUCY, IN HEAVEN AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE. YOU WERE ALWAYS SUCH A GENTLEMAN, DAD. ALWAYS PUTTING OTHERS FIRST. WHEN THEY MADE YOU THEY BROKE THE MOLD. WE LOVE YOU DEARLY DAD. All around good guy. It was our pleasure to have known him. Always left us with a smile and a good feeling. Always a pleaure to see him and glad to see him return to his father in heaven without going thourgh all the pain he might have gone through. He will be missed.
