Just talked to my brother [Willard] and learned of his passing today! Am lost for words regarding the loss of Ray... Always the more jovial and rational of the two Howar brothers... Will miss his smile grin and laugh. He was a great soul to be around..

My wife and I were fortunate in knowing Ray here in Southern Maryland. He was as you described, a man who loved his children dearly, always putting them first, and who would give until he himself could give no more. Rest in Peace Ray. Til we meet again.........Dave and Anita.

To the Hower family - There are no words that could adequately express how shocked and saddened I am by the loss of Ray. I have countless memories of a family unit I was a part of. Losing a son, a brother, a father, a friend. He suffers no more.
If we could bring you back again, for one more hour or a day
We'd express all our unspoken love;
We'd have countless things to say,
If we could bring you back again
We'd say we treasured you,
And that that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.

You were my boss, my boyfriends brother, a fellowship rock, a friend. My only solice in this enormous tragedy is that we will meet again. Rest in eternal peace Ray. All my love, Bonnie
