Dr. Kirchmier was born on December 18, 1937 and passed away in May 2018. Dr. Kirchmier was a resident of Portsmouth, Virginia at the time of passing. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Kirchmier Dodson; brother, John J. Kirchmier Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his fourth child by acclamation, Hakki Yazgan of Great Falls, Va. Stan was a graduate of St. Paul's High School in Portsmouth, Va. Upon graduation, he was then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Infantry, but deferred his military service to attend the Medical College of Virginia, where he graduated with his M.D. in 1963. Private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be may be sent to the following organizations, HOPE Church, 12445 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va., 23238; The Faison Center for Autism, 1701 Byrd Ave., Richmond, Va., 23230; Collegiate Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, c/o Collegiate School, 103 N. Mooreland Rd., Richmond, Va., 23229; American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
