I wish to express not only mine, but many other employees who worked with him at the Dallas Morning News, of my absolute shock hearing about Raymond. Please forgive me and accept my deepest apology for not being able to attend the funeral. Unfortunately , most of us here are just now hearing what happened. I got to know Raymond well from personally working with him. He told me much of his deep colorful life. I admired his ethics of life, his honesty, his integrity and how he always continued to learn and educate himself. He was constantly taking courses and classes whether it would help him directly at his job or not. He had great goals. He was Strong Willed, Feisty, and possessed a wealth of endless information of knowledge. But most of all, he was a Great Guy! Thank you for sharing his funeral on You Tube. It was comforting to see how much support ,friends and such a wonderful family he has. God Bless and I give you my sincerest sympathy.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Raymond was a great neighbor to Trent & I. He was always willing to help lift heavy things or advise me on home repairs or how to parent a boy. I can't begin to know what you are feeling, but please know that you have the prayers & support of many friends. Raymond is still just a whisper away, as always he will be with you & Christopher watching out for you. He loves you both so much.
Respectfully,
Lorie & Trent
