Raymond "Dickie" Reed 71 of Charleston passed away at Hubbard Hospice House on May 12, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He attended Cross Community Chapel Church. He was a Retired Truck Driver with Gulf Oil, Aurora Casket Company and Service Mine Supply. Dickie was a member of the Charleston Masonic Lodge #153 AF & AM, Charleston Scottish Rite Bodies and Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, and was an Army Veteran. Preceding him in death were his parents, Lacy Hershel and Laura Jane Fields Reed. Survivors include his son, Russell Reed of Dunbar; daughter, Jodie Reed of Loveland Ohio; brother, Larry Reed of Charleston; sisters, Louise Anderson, Norma Goff, Kathy Hudson and Robin Reed all of Charleston. Grandson, Nathan Smith. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites provided by Charleston Lodge #153. Visitation with the family will be 2 hours prior to services on Wednesday. The family will accept Memorial online condolences at: cpjfuneralhome.com Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home is serving the Reed Family.
