Raymond L. Slicker, Sr., 69, of Poplarville, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 in Forrest General Hospital, surrounded by family.

Mr. Slicker was born September 4, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Milton Leroy Slicker, Sr. and Mona Koester Slicker. He was a retired HVAC technician; an avid commercial fisherman; and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Slicker; two brothers, Russell Slicker, Paul Slicker; one sister, Gloria Gregg and granddaughter, Paige Thompson.

Family members include nine children, Qua Ann Thompson, Rae Ann (Freddy) Alltop, Milton L. (Tamara) Slicker, II, Raymond Slicker, II,Scottie (Brandi) Slicker, Alvin (Lidia) Donohue, Lisa Donohue, Sidney (Holly) Donohue, and Steven Donohue; one sister, Cathy Marrow; one brother, Carl Slicker, Sr.; grandchildren, Heather, Logan, Sean, Steven, Shawn, Chase, Chance, Chad, Hunter, Kaden, Mason, Kylie, Cruz, Ryan, David, Gunnar, David, Shelby, Rachel, and Dani; great grandchildren, Liam, Shawn, Sarah and Westin.

A memorial gathering and celebration of life will be at 949 Magnolia Ridge Road, Boutte, LA, 70039 on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Please call (504) 382-1418.
