When I was a senior at West Carrollton High School in 1966-1967, Ray hired myself and 2 others to work at Delphos M&T. He let us go to school 1/2 days and work 1/2 days, even some Saturdays. I learned the value of hard work and responsibility. What a great man. Thanks for the memories.

There hasn't been a time in my 59 years that Uncle Ray was not there ... quietly in the background, yet always available for the family. He was one of those goofy guys who took pride in the fact that he made his way in this world through hard work ... he served his country and was not ashamed to shed a tear as our flag passed by or when the National Anthem was played ... his family was always first and foremost in his list of priorities ... he admittedly made mistakes along the way but he always followed his heart. He was the family historian and told countless stories of his growing-up years. No one ever minded hearing them again and again ... in the telling, he showed us our heritage and made us proud of WHO we were, WHY we were, and inspired us to live up to the expectations passed on to us by those who came before. He was every child's favorite "playmate" ... go carts, horses, fast boats, fast cars! My Uncle Ray was known as "Zorro" for heaven's sake! Gosh, I will miss him ... I am so grateful to have grown up knowing and loving him. God rest his soul.

When Jim first introduced me to Ray, his father, I didn't realize what an impact this man would have on my life. I believe he was the most loving and caring man I have ever met. I was blessed to have had him in my life.
