Little we knew that day,
The sorrow it would bring.
The shock was great, the loss severe,
To part with one we loved so dear.
We could not say the last farewell,
or even say goodbye.
For you were gone before we knew,
But only God knows why.
A heart of gold stopped beating,
Two smiling eyes at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Becky and I transferred into the Duquesne OT program the same year. She made the transition so much fun and I knew the next 4 years were going to be filled with laughter and smiles having her in our class. She had such a cheerful and sarcastic personality and her beautiful smile was infectious! Although I did not know her family, I think her happiness and love of life is a reflection of the joy she shared with you. And heaven is shining brighter with Becky.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am not sure there are any words that can help at this terrible time but I wanted to let you know she was not alone when she passed away and there was no evidence that she suffered for any length of time. My husband and I were the first on the scene and having children of my own I would want to know this information. May God give you the strength to endure this loss and the will to carry on remembering all you shared with your daughter.
