Rebecca "Becky" McMahon Obituary
On August 6, 2024, Rebecca "Becky" McMahon was greeted by numerous loved ones as she left this earthly world to begin the Lord's promise of eternal life. Becky was born March 24, 1959 in Telluride, Colorado to William F. and D. Eloise McMahon. She spent the first 15 years of her life in Colorado before moving to Elko, NV with her parents.
Becky attended Elko High School, where she was a member of the Elko High School women's choir and the graduating class on 1977. While attending Elko High School, she met her former spouse. They were married in 1980, and the two went on to have two amazing daughters.
Becky was a devout member of Calvary Baptist Church where she and her parents served for the church family many years. She also served members of the Christian Center of Elko for many years.
As she crossed from this life to the next, she was greeted by both of her parents, her brother J. Stephen McMahon, her brother-in-law Earl Dubose, her son-in-law Richard Chapman, her former mother-in-law Dolores Willard, her former sisters-in-law Terrie and Lisa, and close family friend Ina Nunes.
Becky is survived by her former spouse Steve (Nory) Guitar of Spring Creek, NV and their two children Diamond D. (John) Judd of Pocatello, Idaho and Cherish S. Guitar of Elko, NV, 6 amazing grandchildren, sisters Fern Dubose of Grand Junction, CO and Shannon (Alan) Jones of Grand Junction, CO, sister-in-law Sharon McMahon of Montrose, CO, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind several close friends that she considered family.
The family would like to thank everyone who watched over Becky, especially in her final days. At this time, the family has decided not to hold any services. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family requests that donations be made to the National Alliance for Mental Illness, The Trevor Project, Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree Project, SAMHSA, or similar charities.

Becky was a high energy woman at church. Always loud and friendly. Wow, she always had a story to tell! I really enjoyed her being apart of Christian Center and the energy she brought. My heart is broken for Diamond and Cherish. I'm sorry for the loss of your mother.

I remember Becky's dry sense of humor. She made me laugh at some of the silliness life can bring to us. Becky, certainly, brought some color to dull days.
My prayers go to her family, her children and grandchildren.
I pray for the peace that surpasses understanding, so that hearts will be guarded in Christ Jesus. Keep in mind... Whatever is pure right and lovely to dwell on these things.

Eloise´s daughter. She was always very sweet and kind and loved to go to church and mingle with her family and friends. I´m very thankful she is my sister in Christ. May she rest in peace with the Lord.

Diamond and Cherish, and to the rest of her family and friends, I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Aunt Becky's passing. I know your hearts must be broken and aching something fierce. My prayers, all my love, hugs, support and thoughts are with you all, and also on thoughts of dear Aunt Becky as I remember her. I honor her life, her memory and all that she was to so many people. I will miss my Aunt Becky, although I hadn't seen her in many, many years. She was a brightly colored daisy in a hard-earned, hard- lived life, muddled down with grays and browns. Prayers and blessings. My heart is with you. I love and miss you.
