Mrs. Rebecca Moseley Newman, 86, of South Hill died Saturday, October 18 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Newman was the widow of James S. Newman, Sr. of South Hill. She was predeceased by her parents Mr. And Mrs. Herbert Moseley, her sisters Mrs. Mildred Shelton and Mrs. Dot Taylor both of Richmond, and is survived by a sister Margaret Nuckols of Richmond. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Vicky Newman and son-in-law Vernon Newman of Alexandria, VA and Mrs. Elizabeth ?Peg? Cordle and husband Randy of Chesapeake; her sons James S. Newman, Jr. ?Jimmy? and wife Judy, and Herbert W. Newman, Sr. ?Boo? and wife Patricia of South Hill. ?Fat Granny? is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephen and Sean Newman, Stephanie Tell, Teri Walker, Jessica Johnson, Ashley Newman, Bryan and Bobby Cordle, Kathryn Wright, Herbert and Parker Newman, Angela Kinker, and by her great-grandchildren; Brennan, Chloe, Marley, Aryn, Skylar, Kason, Jameson, Haley, Alex, Nathan, Whitney, Natalie, Tyler, Regan, JP, three faithful and loving companions, Yogi, Micky and Punkin and special cousins Joyce and Raymond Brooks.
