Rebecca Noe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 1, 2016.
Rebecca Isabella Noe
February 1, 1965-February 25, 2016
She died as she lived, everyone's friend.

Becky was born on February 1st, 1965 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is survived by her husband Robert Noe, her daughter Cassandra Noe, her parents Alan and Carol Lusby, and her older sister Elizabeth Lusby.

Because of her her father's involvement in the Navy, Becky was able to experience life all over the country. In addition to her birthplace in Hawaii, Becky lived in Connecticut, Virginia, Florida, California, Maryland, and Washington State. She met Robert Noe in the summer of 1984 and after only 3 months of knowing each other, she asked for his hand in marriage on his birthday. They knew that they wanted to be together forever and were wed three weeks later on October 27, 1984. On December 30, 1985, Becky gave birth to their daughter, Cassandra. A few years later, they moved to Colorado where Becky lived out the rest of her life.

Becky was a precocious little girl with a mischievous glint in her eye. Throughout her life she remained extremely active in everything she took interest in and made friends everywhere that she went. She participated in the Brownies and Girl Scouts as a young girl and was a member of Job's daughters. In Junior High School, she joined the school choir and it was shortly thereafter that she began to become very interested in horses. She would volunteer to muck out the stables of the barn that was a few blocks away just so that she could be around the horses. It was there she met the leader of the Buccaneers Barrel Racing Group which she joined when she was 14 years old. Becky maintained an active interest in horses into her early 20s as a competitive barrel racer. Her love for horses was soon replaced by her love for dogs.

Becky was extremely supportive and was her daughter's biggest cheerleader. She was beside her side in everything that she took interest in which led to their joint involvement in the world of dogs and in particular, the Australian Shepherds that they showed and raised together. She was a 4-H parent and leader, as well as a member of the Australian Shepherd Club of America Junior Program Committee. She was also a junior showmanship judge for the American Kennel Club and was actively involved in the Southern Colorado Australian Shepherd Club where she held various positions such as President, show coordinator, and board member over the 19 years that she was a member.

Becky was an extremely talented artist, mastering everything she took interest in with ease. She loved to take inspiration from the things she loved like the ocean and all of its creatures, flowers, waterfalls, and the beautiful countryside where she lived. Some of her passions were drawing, painting, knitting, cross-stitching, braiding leather leads, making ceramic pieces and glass beads, and photography. She loved to cook and was always looking for the next best meal to make for her friends or family.

She and her husband were active scuba divers and took annual trips to Cozumel, Mexico as often as they could. Above all else, the one thing that Becky loved to do was spend time with her friends and family. She would often show her love to others by doing things for them; she made it a habit to make gifts for her friends and family. Becky was extremely selfless, she would do whatever she could to help anyone in need.

Becky was a ray of sunshine, her light touched everyone that she knew. Her light will continue to shine on within the hearts of all whom she loved. She will be deeply missed by all.

Carole and Alan, there are no words to express our sincere condolence. Losing a child, I think, must be the absolute hardest thing in our life. She sounds like a person I would love to have known. You can be proud of her accomplishments, but most of all the kind of person she became. You were obviously wonderful parents and she represented that in her life. Ed and Carolyn Segrist

Carole and Alan, we are so sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter. Kids are just not suppose to go before us. Although, we never had the opportunity to know Becky, the video was a wonderful glimpse into who Becky was and how she lived her life. You all will be in our thoughts and will plan to attend the Washington memorial on the 16th.

Rob and Cassie,
We will always have a lot of great memories of Becky through the 30 years that she was in our lives and there will always be something missing from now on. She was a good and loving aunt to the kids. She was so funny when she found something really good to get them. It is such a shame that she was taken so early .

Becky will be missed by her friends and family! Her zest for life was seen through all her activities as she enjoyed photography, scuba diving, dog shows, making all sorts of treasures and enjoying family time. A life cut short, hoping she runs free with those that left before her and greets her dogs with open arms! Godspeed Becky...

My memory of Becky was the nationals that our club held our first raffle (Greeley, CO) and pre-show. Well for this raffle I tied a aussies head quilt in light blue. Well Becky won and came running over to me with the quilt wrapped tightly around herself. She throw her arms around me and told me thank you and how much she was going to enjoy that quilt. I have no doubt that she did. Rob and Cassie my heart and prayers go out to you.

Gone far to soon, Becky would light up a room with her laughter. I had the pleasure of spending time with her while she came to SoCal to visit dog friends. She struck me as a warm, genuine, talented person who loved her family and her dogs.
My heart goes out to her family and dear friends.

I keep erasing what I write, I am at such a loss for words. Becky lit up the world with her zest for life. She was the champion of many and the friend of all. The world is less with her loss.

March 4, 2016

Rob and Cassie you have been in my thoughts and prayers the past week days and nights. Becky has been such a major part of my life for the last 31 plus years that it is hard to realize she is gone. I have shed many tears, relieved many good memories and dealt with knots in my stomach. The grief I feel for you is so great. I am glad Carol and Alan have been here to support you and also for you to help them deal with the loss of their daughter. Keep those precious memories close as they will help to heal. Know I love you both very much.

I am very sad I won't be in town for the service, I will have to attend in spirit. I only knew Becky a little over a year, we worked together at Humanscale. In fact, Becky was the first person I met when I came for my first interview.

She was such a positive person, always so happy to talk about her dog shows or to ask me about the dog portraits I was working on. She is already missed a great deal. She made such an effort at our office parties to take lots of photos...we will really miss her. I'll see you on the other side of the rainbow bridge someday Becky!

It's no surprise that everyone who knew Becky has loving and supportive memories of her. She was a nurturer who cared for everyone who needed. I greatly admire how she lived life to the fullest, indulging in and excelling at her hobbies, traveling and her total dedication to her family. She was the dog show mom I always wanted and I will miss her terribly. Much love to Rob, Cassie and Garrick.
