ARCANUM — Rebecca G. Powell, 69, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 1:36 p.m. at Sycamore Hospital, Miamisburg, Ohio. She was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Oral and Ruby (Coppock) Boldman.
She was a legal secretary for Amick and Breaden Law Office. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered for the Darke County Red Cross.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Jack W. Powell, of Arcanum; children and spouse, Michael W. Powell and fiancée, Ashley Caroll, of Arcanum, Melissa J. and Kevin Rismiller, of Greenville, and Mark S. Powell, of Dayton; grandchildren, Brittany Powell, Shelby Fuller, and Brenden and Madison Rismiller; great-grandchildren, Harmony and Lyla; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karilyn Hittle, of Arcanum, Billie Jo and Jerry Gasquez, of Greenville, Fonda and Marion Miller, of Greenville, and Betsy and Bill Clauss, of Arcanum; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Rosie Boldman, of Union City, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, May 20 10:30 a.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday May 19 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
