AGE 79 OF DURAND MICHIGAN PASSED AWAY PEACEFULLY SURROUNDED BY FAMILY
ON OCTOBER 28th, 2021, AT CORNERSTONE HOSPICE HOUSE CLERMONT FLORIDA
REBECCA WAS BORN JUNE 10, 1942, IN DURAND MICHIGAN DAUGHTER OF CLIFFORD & MAXINE (REID) PORTER, AND GRADUATED FROM DURAND HIGH SCHOOL.
ON MAY 20th, 1961, SHE MARRIED DAVID SHENK THEY WERE MARRIED 60 YEARS THIS PAST MAY. REBECCA WORKED AS A DIETITIAN FOR THE DURAND CONVALESCENT CENTER, WAS A MEMBER OF THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, AND THE EAGLES CLUB. SHE WAS AN DEVOTED WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AN AVID GOLFER, AND ENJOYED FAMILY VISITS ESPECIALLY THE GRAND CHILDREN!
REBECCA IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND DAVE, 2 CHILDREN VICKIE (KIM) SHENK OF VENICE FL, SCOTT (JACKIE) SHENK OF DURAND, 3 GRAND CHILDREN HEATHER (JON) GALL OF GRAND HAVEN, WHITNEY (BRIAN) KINCAID OF DURAND AND NICOLE SHENK OF GRAND RAPIDS, 5 GREAT GRAND CHILDREN JONATHON, CAMRYN AND GIULIA GALL, BRIANNA AND ELLIANA KINCAID. 3 BROTHERS DEAN (BRENDA), DAR (PAT), AND DENNIS (TERRY) PORTER.
SHE WAS PROCEEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS CLIFFORD AND MAXINE PORTER, AS WELL AS HER BEST FRIEND MAGGIE POWELL.
CELEBRATIONS OF LIFE WILL BE HELD ON November 11th, 2021, FROM 4-7 PM AT DUTCH HOLLOW GOLF COURSE 8500 LANSING RD DURAND MICHIGAN 48429 AND
December 4th, 2021, FROM 2-4 AT THE VERANDA- 20005 US HWY 27 CLERBROOK RESORT CLERMONT FLORIDA 34715
