REBECCA SOFFEL Obituary
Age 21, of McMurray, suddenly lost her life as a passenger in an auto accident, on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Loving mother of Jaden Ryan; beloved daughter of George (Lisa Salloum) Soffel and Kimberly (John) Soffel-Flatz; cherished sister of Sarah Shaw, Robert Soffel and Margaret Soffel; granddaughter of Mary Soffel and the late Gordon Soffel, Nancy Ballard and Bon Ballard; niece of Wallace Soffel, Frank Burnette, Pamela Burnette; cousin of Emily Burnette and Patrick Burnette; also survived by many loving friends and extended family members. Becca loved to travel with her family and will be remembered for her kind and gentle manner and her caring soul. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, (724) 941-3211, Tuesday 2-4, 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30 a.m. in St. Louise DeMarillac Church. My most sincere condolences to the entire family at your loss of such a beautiful young lady.
I just learned of your tragic loss and my prayers are that the fond memories you have of Rebecca bring you all some comfort.
I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca once, when she was just three years old, during a tour of the New Allegheny County Jail, when she injured several fingers that got caught in a door. The date was 4-29-95, and I remember the incident quite as it seems just like yesterday that it happened. I worked at the jail at the time and was the Deputy Warden. I've since retired but have sometimes wondered about that beautiful young girl who was injured that day.

So sorry for this tragic loss that you and your family are going through George. My heart goes out to all of you. I checked out all the pictures today and to me they brought home the impact of her passing...so young...so much ahead of her. I was glad to get to speak to you briefly. You surely have your hands full at this time! If you need anything or just wanna talk let me know. Judging by all the people there she must have been a very popular young lady!
