Reggie Vern Hohenberg

Reggie Vern Hohenberg, 39, of Fruitland, was welcomed into the loving arms of Christ on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, when he was killed in a car accident outside of Durango, Colo. He was born Aug. 4, 1978, to Kip and Gretchen Hohenberg.
Reggie was born and raised in Kirtland where he attended high school. After graduating in 1996, he went on to play baseball for Eastern Arizona College where he attained his Associates degree. After playing an additional year at Mesa State University in Grand Junction, Colo., Reggie moved to Phoenix where he ran a pool business for 12 years before finally moving back to N.M. to begin the process of taking over his father's construction company.
Reggie loved to fish, golf, and get involved in almost anything that would provide him some competition. He has an amazingly huge heart and a smile that would light up a room. Reggie is loved by many and will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace and may God's perpetual light shine upon him.
Reggie was proceeded in death by his mother, Gretchen; grandparents, Arley and Wanda Myers, Roland Hohenberg and Kitty Sheets. He is survived by his father, Kip (Johnna); siblings, Heidi, Brandon (Kristen) and Zack; nephews and nieces, Taylor, Tanner, Ashton, Jude, Olivia and Bennett; and numerous cousins and dear friends.
A rosary will be recited for Reggie at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2100 E. 20th St. in Farmington. A funeral Mass for Reggie will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by a burial at the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, 59 Road 6575 in Kirtland. The family would like to invite all to a luncheon following the burial celebrating the life of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.
