Where to begin? I have so many of my dear cousin Jeannie, dating from about age six when she, as teenager, tried -- unsuccessfully -- to teach me to play the piano! We saw a lot of each other through the years as our families were close and I was so sure of a welcome that I often just dropped in to visit as I was growing up. I recall her visiting us during a summer vacation in 1944 at Lake Mohawk where we had cook-outs and sing-alongs. (I had no idea at the time that Jack had been wounded during the D-Day landings!) and postwar at Avon, where, at one point, she babysat Dan, Anne and me for a few days so my mother could return to Bayonne for some medical tests. 3
As a young teenager, I was thrilled to attend her wedding on a very cold winter's day and to see the newly-weds furnish their home (with what we then called "modern" style furniture)!
Though in later years, life took us on different paths, we saw each other only on occasions as I had left Bayonne, but Jeannie never forgot an occasion with a thoughtful and, often, prayerful, note -- in beautiful handwriting! Our interactions were a beautiful and meaningful part of my life. Thank you, Jeannie!

Growing up in Bayonne was very special for me because there were so many great families and friends who made it so special. The Frost family was certainly one of them and I was honored to know Mr. and Mrs. Frost as well as my good friend Jack and the entire family. Please accept my sincerest condolences during this difficult time and my family and I will keep you and your in our thoughts and our prayers.

Respectfully,

Dear Frost family,
Please accept my condolences and sympathy on the passing of your wonderful mother.
She certainly was exceptional and the type of woman and parent we ,of our generation, grew up with in the Bayonne we all knew.
The beat goes on,but certainly we all owe a debt of gratitude to your mom and the women of her times.
Mrs Frost as well as the family will be in remembered in our prayers.
