Reginald Joseph Horton Sr.

HORTON, REGINALD JOSEPH, SR., 77 Gainesville - Reginald Joseph Horton, Sr., 77, passed away on January 13, 2007 at the V. A. Medical Center. Mr. Horton was born in Potsdam, N.Y. and moved to Florida in 1971. He was a baker and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in the Korean War. Mr. Horton belonged to the American Legion Post 149, Newberry, and was a life member of the D.A.V., Gator 90, Gainesville. His hobbies also included painting by numbers, gardening, working with flowers, especially roses, and working with leather. He is preceded in death by a son Joseph Stone Horton and grandson Adam Campbell. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Kathleen Horton of Trenton, daughters Shirley A. Campbell, Virginia M. Murphy, Donna L. Harden all of Ocala, Viola J. Travis of Newberry, Kathleen R. McGlamery of Lake City, and son Reginald J. Horton, Jr. of Ocala, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be hell on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 11:00 am at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, Florida. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8pm. Burial will follow the service at Forest Meadows Memorial Park West. Arrangements are under the care of FOREST MEADOWS FUNERAL HOME.
