Reiko Koizumi Obituary
July 30, 1934 - August 20, 2013
On August 20, 2013, at the age of 79, Reiko peacefully passed away after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer.
Reiko will be dearly missed by her husband of 52 years, Bob; son Robert (Michelle); granddaughter Keiko; grandson Kiyoshi; brothers Ken (Nancy) Nishibata, Mori (Tineke) Nishibata and Terry Nishibata; sisters Emi (Riichi) Koizumi, Itoko Nishibata and Suzue Nishibata; brother-in-law Ted Koizumi; as well as numerous friends and relatives.
Reiko was predeceased by her father Yasojiro Nishibata and mother Suye Nishibata.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 30, 2013, at 10:30 am, at St. David's United Church, 4614 - 48 Street, Leduc, AB.
The family wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to the staff of the Cross Cancer Institute and Leduc Community Hospital, who provided Reiko with the utmost care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (albertacancer.ca), 710 - 10123 99 Street, Edmonton, AB, T5J 3H1.

I am so sorry to hear about Reiko. She was a very kind and gracious lady with so much heart. She, and all of you were such wonderful neighbours, and such a support to my Mom. I remember all the beautiful bits that she made and brought over to the house. The world was a better place because of her. Her absolute kindness will not be forgotten. Please know that we are thinking of you and we are very sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I have very fond memories of visiting the public library as a teenager and asking your mom for assistance. She was always so helpful and cheerful to deal with. She was a joy to everyone in her life. With deepest sympathy.
