HENSCHEL, Reinhard The family of Reinhard Henschel sadly announces his passing on May 30, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Reinhard is survived by his loving nieces and nephews: Erven (Adoline) Soch, Wifred (Rita) Soch, Flora Knoske, Margaret (Yorry) Sibulak, Margaret Brandenburg (Mico Barudzija), Louise (Garry) Olshewski, Lorne (Val) Werner, Clifford (Grace) Werner, Judy Feltham, Brenda (Gary) Hook, Cheryl (David) Larsen ; sister-in-law Ruth Gellert, good friend and companion Wanda MacLeod and many other dear friends. Reinhard grew up in the Ellerslie District and attended Mill Creek School. He married Alice Werner in 1939. He farmed the land which was purchased by his grandfather in 1894 (now a part of Mill Woods), and moved to an acreage in southwest Edmonton in 1975. For many years Reinhard was an active member of the Strathcona Rotary Club of Edmonton, St. Paul's Lutheran Church and many other community organizations. He enjoyed music, dancing, reading, and the beauty of nature and the friendship of others. He is predeceased by his wife, Alice (Werner) in 1992; parents Gustav and Louise; four sisters: Alwina Soch, Martha Schneider, Frieda Brandenburg, Annie Hammermeister; and two nephews Walter and Donald Brandenburg. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home 9810-34th Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5104 Ellerslie Road S.W., Edmonton, AB. Interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
