I was telling a Cuban friend of mine a Rene story just last week, before I knew we lost this gentle soul. He enriched my life when we worked together and I am a better person for having known him and his wonderful laugh. My heartfelt wishes to the family and Magali who he loved so much.

Dearest family of Rene, I just heard of Rene's death. I am saddened by the lost but blessed for having known such a wonderful man. He enriched my life in so many ways. What a wonderful mentor.

Dear Magali, Ann and I are so saddened to find out today that our dear friend Rene passed away on Dec. 12. I had just finished writing him a personal Christmas letter and called the phone number I have for you in Florida to make sure the address was correct. When the phone call came back "no longer in service" I began to worry. When I googled "Rene O Grimany" a few minutes ago, I found his obituary notice. The fact that I still wanted to stay in touch with you and Rene after 40 years since Rene and I worked together, hopefully shows how much I admired and cared for you and Rene. Please know that Ann and I are holding you in our prayers, and send you our most sincere wishes for God's Peace in the trying days ahead. We'd love to hear from you at your convenience.
