Renee M. Chisholm

Renee Chisholm passed away at her home in Melrose on September 23, 2016. She was only 48 years of age. Renee was born in Lowell on January 20, 1968, was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1986 and attended Essex Aggie for 2 years. She was a lifelong resident of Melrose. Miss Chisholm worked as the animal control officer for the City of Melrose for 10 years. Renee was very proud of her Irish Heritage; in her younger years she was a talented Irish Step Dancer and had won several competitions over the years. She was a lover of animals, especially her dog and cats, enjoyed going to the beach and swimming in the pool and liked to do crossword puzzles. Renee was a very friendly and outgoing person who loved to interact with people. Above all she was a dedicated and loving mother to her children. Renee was the beloved daughter of George L. "Midge" Chisholm and the late Ellen M. (Lacey) Chisholm. Loving mother of Daniel Harsh of Melrose, Courtney & Cordelia Harsh of Watertown. Cherished sister of David J. Chisholm & his wife Janine of Londonderry, NH. Caring aunt of Dylan, Kylie & Ryan Chisholm of NH. Loving companion of Mario Sorrenti of Melrose. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 4:00-8:00PM, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial at Woodbrook Cemetery in Woburn will be private.
