SANDWICH - Rennie C. ''Jerry” Ramella, 64, died Monday, April 2, 2007, after a lengthy illness.

Born on Oct. 28, 1942 in Albany, N.Y., Rennie was the son of the late Rennie A. and Theresa L. Ramella. He lived most of his life in New York until moving to Massachusetts with his family in 1976.

Rennie retired in January 2006 as senior vice president of Brewer and Lord Insurance. He served 34 years with the Army National Guard.

In addition to enjoying time with his family, Rennie enjoyed spending time in Florida, building model trains and aircraft, and restoring classic cars. He loved golf, travel, and photography.

Rennie was the beloved husband of Nancy Ramella; father of Celeste Rogers (Joseph) of Sandwich, Christopher Ramella (Joan) of Albany, N.Y., and the late Courtney and Craig Ramella.

A welcoming of the body and wake service will be at 4 p.m., followed by a visitation until 8 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2007, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, East Sandwich.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Corpus Christi Church, with burial to follow in Sandwich Town Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226, Attn.: Contribution Services.
