I'm saddened at the news of Mr West's passing. Our paths crossed while we were serving in the Army on Fort Hood, and later both our families continued the friendship. Mr West was a kind and gentle soul that imparted knowledge and wisdom, injected with a good dose of humor and was always ready to help those in need. My condolences to his family for their devastating loss. May he rest in peace.

To my loving brother, James Leon West. I will miss the telephone conversations we shared, and all the memories of our childhood. You were such a free hearted and giving person. You have fought a good fight, finished the course, kept the faith. Therefore a crown of righteousness has been laid up for you in heaven. Rest in peace.

Praying for the West family during this difficult time. Bro. West was a very kind, gentle and informative. The West family are my pew neighbors at Marantha BC. I will truly miss his wisdom and concern for matters of the heart. Especially his visits to my Sunday School class to quiz the students on what they were learning. May God be with the West family and bring them comfort in the days ahead.

To the James L West family, my condolences and prayers of comfort. James and I grew up together in Grimes County Texas (Courtney). We attended school together both elementary secondary. James's transitioning to the other side is especially close to me. We were basically the same age and related. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend because of a previous commitment, my thought and prayers are with the family. I would like to pass to the family these words of encouragement
"Grief never ends..but it changes . It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness or lack of faith. It is the price of love".
