Lance & I were students at UBBTS in Moncton.in 1958-59. He was also one of my best friends. Since returning from the UK, we rekindled our friendship & I saw him when he came to Ontario & also at school reunions.. I will always remember his love for music, our coffee mornings & how he loved to tease me.
Friendships like that do not fade away.
My sincere condolences to his family on their loss.

Our most sincere sympathy to Haley, her children, Jack, Stacey and all of Lance's loved ones. We have been friends of Lance since 1958 and have such wonderful memories of so many happy times together. Our last visit with Lance was when he had a big Seafood Buffet for us, and what a Buffet it was!
We enjoyed visiting with Haley, her family, Jack and meeting Stacey also. He was fortunate to have had such a wonderful loving family nearby. Although we have lived so far apart for many years, our friendship has carried on across the miles and we will miss our great telephone conversations and emails.. You will live on in our hearts, dear Lance, we love you.

Saddened to learn of Lances' passing . He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, he had such a hearty laugh! I will never forget him playing that piano, he could almost make it talk ! Let us remember he is now Resting In Peace after being ill for such a long time. God Bless His Soul..

Our sincere sympathy to Hayley and all of Lance's family. We were fortunate to have Lance as our parish priest in the late 80's. We also enjoyed his beautiful music. May he rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon him.

My name is Lance Scranton and I had the privilege to meet the man who I was named after when I was on my honeymoon many years ago. I would like to extend my condolences and sympathies. Obviously a great friend and influence to my father and mother (Val and Blair).

Haley: It seems so hard to believe Lance is gone, even though he had been sick for such a long time. He was so brave throughout his illness. He always had a quick smile and an easy laugh. Lance was such a "fun" Uncle. Some of my fondest childhood memories are with Lance in the background playing the piano, us sharing a meal and the great conversations. You were a joy to Lance every day of your life and he was immensely proud of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Eleanor and Bernie

My most vivid memory of Lance is from high school days, when we would gather around the piano to hear him play a rousing rendition of "Piano Roll Blues." Recollections of those smiles and happy times linger to this day. In recent years we sometimes chatted on Skype and caught up on news. Lance will be profoundly missed, and we send our condolences to the family.
