Mrs. Martha Sue Hammontree Nations, 56, of Dalton, departed this life Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta.Mrs. Nations was born April 16, 1953, in Whitfield County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Samuel Hammontree and Martha Violene Bedwell Cochran. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Nations; brother, Robert Hammontree; sister, Michelle Cochran.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandee and Don Price of McDonald, Tenn.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Claudia Hammontree, Jerry and Peggy Hammontree, Sam and Rita Hammontree, Calvin and Betty Cochran of Cohutta; sister, Rossie Railey of Thomaston; grandchildren, Angelina Kunkel, Megahn Estes, Manda Estes, Donovan Price; great-grandchild, Camden Kunkel; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Martha Sue Hammontree will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Corbin officiating.
