Ricardo Martinez Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 26, 2025.
Ricardo Martinez, 39, entered eternal rest on August 23, 2025. Ricardo was born on May 26, 1986 to Alberto Martinez and Velma Vazquez. Ricardo was a wonderful and loving dad, son, brother uncle, and amazing friend to many. He loved to barbecue and fish, but his favorite was being a father and uncle. He loved coming up with new recipes and loved to joke around. Rick was a sweetheart in many ways, and the type of person to take his shirt off his back for anyone that needed. Rick also took pride in his barbecue business and always made sure to provide the best barbecue to his community. He loved country music, and his favorite artist was Tim McGraw. He also loved "movie lines" and made a point to sound like the actor all the time. He loved watching "The Ranch" and "Seinfeld." Rick is survived by his parents, Alberto Martinez and Velma Vazquez, both of Falfurrias, Texas. One son, Ricardo Martinez Jr., two brothers Jose Alberto Martinez, (Laura Perez), Alberto Martinez Jr., (Stephanie Rios), sister Mayela Teresa Martinez all of Corpus Christi. Two nieces, Emily Ann Martinez and Daniah Lynn Martinez and one nephew Jacob Ryan Martinez.

A Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday August 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday August 28, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias Texas.
