Marlene Little Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 8, 2018.
LITTLE, Marlene Beatrice
February 7, 1936 – January 6, 2018.

Passed away peacefully at the Toronto East General Hospital. She was surrounded by her family. Marlene was a people person she had a big heart and a caring soul. Her love for her husband and soul mate Frank was unconditional. She was a proud Aunt to her nieces Heather (Mike) and Kelly (Kevin) and her nephew Jim (Anna). She enjoyed sharing pictures and stories of her great nieces Bella and Paige and her nephews Christian and Jason. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Wendy and her brother-in-law George. Marlene devoted much of her time to the Salvation Army East Toronto Core which included Monday Night Women's Fellowship and Wednesday's "Over 60" Club. Also in her spare time she enjoyed berry picking and scrapbooking. She was a remarkable woman. May her faith in God, her loving smile and her zest for life remain in our hearts forever. Visitations will be held on Wednesday January 10th from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home at 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto (At Main Subway). A celebration of her life will be followed on Thursday January 11th at 11:00AM at Salvation Army, 107 Cedarvale Avenue, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army East Toronto.

Frank & Family...I'm still in stock of the passing of Aunt Marlene. She was an amazing woman that meant the world to me and my family here in Newfoundland. I'm so glad that we were able to visit you both when we were in Toronto. She will be truly missed and never forgotten.

Marlene and Frank, you were the best neighbours we've ever had. Our first meeting was Marlene at our door with fresh picked strawberries to welcome us to the neighbourhood. We truly missed you when you had to move away, and now even more.

Frank, family and loved ones, my heart is broken with the passing of my dear Aunt Marlene. She has been through many health challenges, and with her strong will, sheer determination and faith in God she was always resilient. I too felt that she was invinceable. I will miss our telephone calls, her wisdom, hugs, and hearty laughter. I have many fond memories of Aunt Marlene throughout my life and will cherish and hold those memories in my heart forever. Frank, you were her life, her soulmate and rest assured she is watching over us all from heaven. She is now without pain and with our Lord. I am comforted to know we will see each other again in Heaven. Rest in Peace Beautiful Lady. Love, Hugs and Prayers always, Mary Somerton and husband Pat. Torbay, Newfoundland

We will miss you Marlene & never will forget your kind & thoughtful ways, especially the way you cared for Aunt Hilda. You were the best one that came into Frank's life & he cared for you deeply. Together you were a great couple. We pray that God who you have had so much faith in will spread His loving arms around Frank to help him through this heartbreaking experience. We will all miss you Marlene, but now you are out of your pain & in the arms of our Lord.
