Richard Bird Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 19, 2024.
Let us remember the life and love of Richard James Bird. Surrounded by loved ones in his final days, Rick passed away on July 17, 2024, after many months of illness. Rick was born on February 23, 1970, to Marcia Gay (Nash) Norman and Stanley Donald Bird in Stockton, California. He would also later call Dad to Randell Dean Norman. He was brother to two sisters, Marci and Andria (Andi), and left behind many cousins. Notably, Rick was revered as a brother, uncle, and family to many beyond blood in local and far-reaching circles. In his later years, he shared eternal love for two daughters, Chelsea and Alyssa, always keeping them close in mind and heart. Rick cemented this love to the body, having recently tattooed their names on his left hand. As a lover and fighter till the end and an Army veteran, one may take solace in the fact that in his last months, he maintained his camaraderie with those suffering similar circumstances, one of his most admiral characteristics.
