DRACUT - Richard J. Bolduc, 66, a resident of Dracut, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Richard) Bolduc, with whom he was married to for 45 years. He was born in St. Victor de Beauce, P.Q., Canada on June 12, 1955 and was a son of Mary Alice (Lessard) Bolduc of Dracut and the late Hilaire Bolduc. He received his education in Dracut and found his way into the family plumbing and heating business, to follow in his Father's footsteps. Richard was devoted to the plumbing profession and enjoyed working alongside his Dad and brothers doing what they loved to do. Richard was always ready to help with any home improvement project, so much so, that your project would immediately become his project whether you liked it or not. His infamous line always started with "It's none of my business but…" followed by him telling you exactly how to do it. Richard was all business when it came to his profession or the many side projects he took on but the one thing he never missed was his daily 10AM coffee break, whether on the job site or at the local coffee shop with his family. When Richard wasn't working, in his younger days, he loved being around the campfire with a good cup of joe and a smoke or riding his motorcycle with his wife, sons and friends. As he grew older he began to love relaxing in his recliner with a favorite show, tinkering in a garage with his sons or his absolute favorite times, which were family meals around the dinner table and the cherished memories that came with it. His greatest joy however, were his grandkids, who always came first and who they could always count on to give in when they wanted something. When Mémère said no, Pépère would always say yes. He couldn't resist the smiling faces and joy it brought his grandchildren. A treasured memory collectively shared is the many nicknames Richard had for his family; toots, bub, buddy, birdie and pumpkin were common and frequently heard when referring to his loved ones. In addition to his wife, Diane, Richard is survived and will be deeply missed by his two sons, Jason Bolduc and his wife Linda of Dracut and Robert Bolduc and his wife Kristin of Dracut; his four grandchildren, Cole, Emma, Alissandra and Julian; his four brothers, Gerard Bolduc and his wife Cathleen of Nashua, NH, Denis Bolduc and his wife Louise of Hooksett, NH, Michael Bolduc and his wife Susan of Dracut and Steven Bolduc and his wife Kristeen of Pepperell, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's Graveside Service on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA 01854.

So sorry to here of this. Seems like only yesterday Rich kindly made time in his day to help find a solution to a botched plumbing job for an old acquaintance from Scouts. Also fond memories of building a parade boat for the scouts out of a trailer pulled by my old Isuzu Trooper. Engineers we were not, the load nearly lifted the Troopers rear wheels.
Rich was truly a giving person , always helping out with the Scouts.

Rich,
Thank you for being an amazing Father-in-Law, but most importantly the best and most fun Pepere!
I will never forget you and all that you´ve done for us. I am heart broken that your life was cut so short and that your grandchildren are going to miss out on so many more fun years with you.
One thing I know Jason is going to miss the most is being able to call you for your advice, but I know you will still be able to offer him that, just in a different way.
We will miss your loud voice, laughter, and jokes!
We will forever keep your memory alive though-this I promise you
I know you will be watching over those that you loved the most. Please protect your Grandbabies with all of your being. Until we meet again...

Words can't express how much we are gonna miss you Uncle Rich.
Not just being THE BEST GODFATHER ever, but being the hardest worker..and loudest worker on the job site.

For always making sure the whole family was together no matter what.
And for Raising the 2 best role models any cousin could ask for.
We will make you proud by being the strong family you and Ma tante Diane led.

Love Phil

To the entire Bolduc family. What a beautiful and fitting tribute to Richie. The obituary described him to a tee. I can't find words to express my sympathies, but, like his father before him, he was one of the greatest guys from one of the greatest families I've ever known. You are all in my heart.

Dear Diane, Our sincere sympathy for the sudden loss of dear Richard. Although because of distance we missed out on spending time with your family for over 30 years. We were just starting to develop a relationship with Richard and you and family. I know he was a good man. He will be missed. May his soul now rest in The Hands of God.

Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. Years ago we lived on Sesame Street and we called upon Rich for a plumbing issue. He always came as soon as he could and we were so impressed with his knowledge and his gentle personality. Over the years, my husband and I had several occasions to talk with him and we got to know what a wonderful family man he was. He told us of his grandchildren, how you took care of them as babies and how much fun he had with them. Stephen and I are grateful that we got to know him. May he rest in peace.

Dad, I knew this day would eventually come, just didn't realize it would be this soon. I want you to know that you are and always will be my hero. I'm going to miss that loud voice and laugh that you could hear from a mile away. Robert and I will take good care of mom and the rest of the family just like you did. Till we meet again Dad.. love you Jason

Richie you were a wonderful brother-in-law to me and a great uncle to Lexi and Scott. You were aLways first to a family gathering and first to the recliner after a good holiday meal. And most definitely always there to lend a helping hand anytime we needed you. I'll always remember you and want you to know how grateful I am for all your support and love especially over the last year. It was a tough one for sure. You've left a big void Rich ❤ and I will miss you. Love Cathie
