Richard Harrison Bowman, 80, of Hooks, TX passed away March 24, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Bowman was born July 6, 1930 in Sioux City, IA.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict; a member of VFW; and D.A.V.; he was an extraordinary Minister of Communion at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and an usher.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Bowman of Hooks, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Lisa Bowman of New Boston, TX, and Charlie Bowman of Houston, TX; one brother and sister-in-law Clifford Dean and Lorraine Bowman of Worthington, MN; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and LeRoy Schroeder of Beaver Creek, MN and Rebecca and Stan Brewers of Marshall, MN; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; plus a number of nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with visitation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Priest, Msgr. Xavier Pappu and Father Laurence officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
