RICHARD SOON SUN CHOI
Age 82, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away May 8, 2010 in Aiea. Born August 26, 1927 in Wailuku, Maui. Richard was a member of Soka Gakkai International-USA. Former U.S. Amateur Welter Weight Boxing Champion.
He is survived by wife, Ruth Reiko Choi; sons, Derrick (SueAnn) Choi, Eric (Renee) Choi; daughters, Katherine (Arthur) Suverkropp, Marla Choi; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Sunuki (Pyung Chul) Kim, Soon Hee Bisol, Dorothy Soon Yai Amaral, Sarah Soon Ho (Ted) Palisbo, Marsha Yone (Cal) Watson.
Visitation 8:30 a.m. Saturday (June 12) at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel; Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Burial 1:00 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Casual Attire. No flowers, please.
