Dick Cochran was a first-class guy. He built a
great organization, assembled a remarkable team that took good care of his business by looking out for his interests and the needs of their customers.
He was a fine role model for lots of us who worked around him as well as for his kids, who learned the trade and business from him and have done a great job running Cochran Electric.
So many folks in Jackson are better people for knowing Dick Cochran.

What can I say about my neighbors...They were the best!! Jim and I sold them the lot next door 25 years ago and they built a log home...just what I had planned to do one day!! Dick was always puttering, When he ran out of things to do at his home, he would find something to do at mine. He installed some lights on my garage and of course a dawn to dusk sensor that I had not purchased!
Dick cut my lawn after Jim passed and would argue every time I tried to pay him. I could get him to take money for a motel room and food for their annual trip to Florida, but that is all he would take. He would casually say, "Annie, we need some gas"! This last year he would sneak up behind me in his electric chair while I was working in my yard and tell me how much help he should be giving me. I always told him just his presence and conversation was all I needed. What great neighbors: sharing a glass of wine, chasing people off out docks, guarding our little space of lake front from people who were "going " to park there! and just shooting the breeze on my deck or theirs. So many memories..........

Richards parents, Earl and Dora were best friends with my parents in Jackson and on Green Lake. Richard was my big brother I never had during my youth. He would often pick me up from school in one of his neat old cars. So many good times on Green Lake, boating, riding the latest three wheel trike. Marsha and I had the best time with Ruth Ann and Richard on a Fall color tour to New England in our travel trailers. Richard was the most sharing, fair and ethical man I have known. He has always been so proud of their children, Robyn, Ronnie and Robert. Thank you Richard for all the kindness you have shared with others. We will miss you!
