Richard Collings Obituary
Beloved husband of 51 years to Shirle Collings (nee Johnson). Loving father of Bette Collings (Anthony) Maressa. Adoring 'Poppy' to J.R. Matthew and Caitlin. Dear brother of Elizabeth Clevenger.
After working 35 years for C&T Affiliates during which time he served as President of NJ Utility Contractors he felt called to the ministry. Upon completion of study and ordination he served as Pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Woodbine NJ from 1980-1987. From 1987-2002 Rev. Collings served as Pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Gloucester NJ until his retirement on Jan. 1 2003.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life Sun. Eve. 8PM at the 1st Baptist Church Monmouth & Sussex Sts. Gloucester NJ 08030. Interment private. Friends may call Sun. Eve. 6-8PM at the church.
The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the church. Arrangements by FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME Collingswood NJ.
