Richard Cooper Obituary
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Mary Jane. He is survived by his daughter Sharon, daughter Carolyn, son in law Andrew, and grandchildren; Ryan, Riley, Dean, and Ainsley.
He graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1965. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in mathematics and obtained a master's degree in computer science from San Jose State University.
He was a computer programmer with IBM in San Jose for more than 25 years. He also played clarinet as a long time member of the San Jose Wind Symphony.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at the University of Santa Cruz Arboretum.
