Richard COWSILL

COWSILL, Richard It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard on Sunday, May 5th at Innisfree House in Kitchener, Ontario after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Montreal, Quebec to parents Dora (Brown) and Victor. Cherished husband to Sheila (Kinsey), father to Scott and great-grandfather to Sophia, and brother of Beverly (Jochen) Strohmeyer of Harrow, Ontario. Rick (to his friends and family) was a salesman, small business owner and City of Cambridge Councillor for many years. His passion in life was municipal politics; he said that ""being embraced by my community of Hespeler for many years has been my dance of a lifetime."" At Rick's request there will be no funeral service, rather a celebration of life that is to be arranged at a later date in the summer. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Grand River Hospital and Innisfree House of Kitchener would be greatly appreciated.
