Richard Cox Obituary
OVERTON - Services for Richard Lewis Cox, 64, of Liberty City, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2007, at the chapel of Burrows Overton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Burial will be in Overton City Cemetery with military rites. Mr. Cox died April 24, 2008, in Gregg County after a sudden illness.
Born July 21, 1943, in San Antonio, he was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the special Forces Association and VFW Post 1183 in White Oak. Survivors include his son, Stuart Cox; brother, Phillip Cox; and sisters, Janie Cox, Elaine Owens and Rita Hogan.
