Richard Allen DavidsonRichard Allen Davidson Sr., 60, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2004, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Richard was born on September 3, 1944, to Palmer & Dorothy (Austin) Davidson in Grand Forks, ND. He attended grade school at Immanuel Lutheran before graduating high school from Grand Forks Central. He married Betty Hartman on January 4, 1964, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Richard owned and operated Dean & Rick's Barber Shop from 1969-1989. Richard was a real estate agent from 1984 to the present. Richard was a people person who enjoyed spending time with his family. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to share. Richard is survived by: Wife: Betty Davidson, Grand Forks; Daughter: Deborah (Chuck) Dirks, Wichita, KS; Son: Richard Davidson Jr., Boulder, CO; Grandchildren: Will & Julia; Brothers: Bill Davidson, Denver, CO; Palmer Davidson, San Diego, CA; Sisters: JoAnn Maides, San Diego, CA; Neuralan Spicer, San Diego, CA; Several Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by: Parents - Palmer Sr. & Dorothy Davidson. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. VISITATION: Tuesday, October 12, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service at the Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks, ND, and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. I was saddened by the news that our former next door neighbor passed away. Richard always had a great sense of humor and was a pleasant person to talk to. I will miss him and my prayers go out to the family. God Bless.
