Richard W. Dishong

Richard W. Dishong, 54, of Camp Hill, died May 11, 2004, in Milton S. Hershey Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born March 13, 1950, in Johnstown, a son of Berlie Sr. and Doris Watkins Dishong, who survive. He graduated from Beth-Center High School in Fredericktown in 1968. Mr. Dishong also graduated in 1972 from California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in secondary education, and he earned his master's degree in communications from Shippensburg University. Rick taught English at Camp Hill High School and later held numerous sales positions in the automotive and vehicle industry. He was a devotee of the art of punning and a fan of NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Potisek Dishong of Camp Hill; two daughters, Devon and Shanna, both at home; one brother, Berlie Dishong Jr. of Nazareth; and many other loving family members and friends. Friends will be received in Baughman United Methodist Church, Third and Bridge streets, New Cumberland, on Friday, May 14, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., the time of the memorial service. The STONE & MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, 408 Third St., New Cumberland, is handling arrangements.
