Allen, James Roger
Passed peacefully in his sleep the evening of Friday, December 22, 2006. Jim was a fifth generation Californian, born May 31st, 1935 in Los Angeles, California. The fourth child of Glenn D. Allen of Pasadena and Edna C. Uhlmeyer of Big Pine, California. Jim attended 52nd Street School, Audubon Jr. High, Manual Arts High School, and graduated Cum Laude USC School of Engineering. Jim retired from Chevron Oil, Edgington Oil, and Pacific Emulsions. He was a loving husband to Susan Sanford Allen, married 1960. The loving father of Bill, Tom, and Robert and the proud grandfather of six. An accomplished man who achieved all he desired in life and who's greatest accomplishment, his family, brought him so much pride and joy. He will be missed by all who new him. Services to be held Friday, December 29, 2006, 11:00am at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2200 Via Rosa, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274, 310/375-7582 grave side service and reception to follow.
