GEIGER, Richard D. "Dick" 79 years, died on July 27, 2004 at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Beloved husband of 57 years to May. Loving father of Darrell and wife Lesley, Gail and husband Kevin Finn. Predeceased by his son Dennis (1953). Dear Papa of Kelly and Michelle Geiger, Sean, Craig, Kory and Erin Finn. Dear brother of Frank. He is survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S. & Scotland. Dick was a restaurant owner in Detroit for many years and then became a house painter in the area. As your expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lung Association. A Memorial Service will be held at the James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (736-2134) on Sat., July 31, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. A tree will be planted in memory of Dick Geiger in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 26, 2004. All are welcome.You may sign the Book of Condolences at www.obituariestoday.com

We were always delighted to visit with May and Dick when we were in Amherstburg. We even enjoyed visiting them in Florida where Dick let the girls drive the golf cart and got to see alligators.They were gracious hosts and Dick's humour and kindness will be missed!!
