I think of Rick so often and know he is at peace with God. He was a loving man. I wish his siblings and children peace...he will always be in my heart.

We bought My Miracle CD in South Dakota in 2013 not knowing who he was. We listen to the CD constantly, and we just wanted to know more about him, finding out that he passed. Thank you for giving your gift of music to Glorify our precious Lord and Savior,,,Jesus is smiling. Rest in peace dear sweet brother of our Living Father God, we WILL be reunited and live in Heaven forever.
Peace.

While ministering in British Columbia Canada probably around 2010-11 someone had given me the CD My Miracle after the service. I found it today within a stack of other items and began to listen to it. I decided to search his name on the web while listening to the CD and found this page the music beautiful. I'm positively assured that since Rick was a worshiper of Father in Spirit and in truth. More importantly because of his love for God and people how couldn't God resist in taking Him to be near Him the greatest lover of all. The most beautiful thing to know now is that Rick is Healed and in the presence of his Lord.

I'm sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I was in the high school choir with Rick and so in awe of his talent. He was a beautiful person with a lasting legacy. He will be missed.

I remember meeting Rick Goad years ago while living in Seattle along with his family at an event and even had the chance to spend time with Carolyn and Kurt and Rick. They gave me so much as to their sharing of the Lord! I had no idea he had passed away and deeply saddened by his passing even after this long a time. May his family know how much it meant to me to just get to know him and the rest of this amazing family! May God be with them as they continue their journey in sharing the Lord with the world! Thank you Rick. RIP!

My husband picked up My Miracle cd while visiting our newborn granddaughter in February, 2007. I have listened to this cd numerous times and have lent it out to many of my friends and family. What a beautiful job and touching memory of a humbling time of his life. Thank you to the Goad family for doing this. He has really touched a lot of lives.

On August 28, 2010 while walking out of a small church in Beaverton, Michigan while attending my nephew Michael's funeral, I came across a copy of Rick Goad's Miracle CD, where a sign said " take two, one for yourself and one to give to a friend. I was going through a rough patch at the time and after listening to the CD, I was touched by the music like no other music. It was like God was talking to me personally. I read the story of Rick Goad and how this music was inspired and realized that God used Rick to touch all those that would listen to this music. I then shared this music and Rick's story with many friends who all feel as I do. God does work in strange ways!

Rick Goad CD "My Miracles" has truly change my life and made me realize even more the power of the Lord. Every song has a powerful meaning and purpose. The one that touches my heart, body and soul is "I Surrender". I wanted more of him in my life, God call him home to be with him. He is now making beautiful music in heaven waiting on all of us who praise his music to come home and be at peace with him with our Lord and Saviour. Blessed you until we meet again one day.

I just listened to Rick Goad Cd "My Miracle" that I found in Goodwill store today. It caught my attention and I hear voices whispering telling me to buy it. I don't usually buy Cd's but I decided to get it. While listening to the songs, it really touched my heart and I want more of Him in my life. To Mr. Rick Goad, thank you for touching our lives through those songs, I know you are in a happy place with God right now.

Hi Jackie,
My name is Paula, and my father recently passed away from pancreatic cancer. I too love the Lord, and was trusting him for a miracle for my father, he got his ulitamate healing when Jesus took him home less then three weeks ago. Somebody gave your husbands cd to my father over two years ago when he was diagnosed with Lung cancer. I wanted to thank you because I just found the cd in some of my fathers things, and it has been ministering to my broken heart, and also something that you published about your husbands life on line. I'm a young Pastors wife and love the lord with all my heart, but I have struggled with this grief. I have been trying to remember the pure joy and peace that I felt the moment that Jesus took him home. My father and I were so close, like my best friend so the loss is so heart piercing. But the cd and your words ministered to me and I wanted to say thank you.

Ruth:
Hi! It was great speaking with you earlier today.
several people have shared with me how excellent Rick's voice/music is, like the gentleman at the laundromat who requested 10 copies,8 to be sent to people he knows in Brazil.
I personally have been encouraged by it.
Antonio(laundromat)agreed with me,as it says on the insert of the My Miracle cd,that it's as if God pulled up a chair next to him and inspired the music.
Rick, thank you.
Also,thank you Bill and Ruth.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.

I just listened to Rick's CD for the first time today---what perfect timing God has. My dad died 3 weeks ago, and I had been deeply grieving. Even though I know he is heaven with the Lord totally healed and happy, there was a big void in my life without Dad here. Thank you for such a comforting, healing CD of anointed music.
How do I order more CD's to pass on?

I was in the VA hospital, having a really trying day. I take my father in law every Monday. This Monday we were in a part of the hospital where we never go as he needed to get fited for a special shoe in Prosthetics. A rather unkept little man in wheel chair wheeled past me, never saying a word, and just placed Rick's CD in my hand. God knew I needed a special reminder of his miracles that day and I thank you for your wonderful ministery. My heart goes out to you for the loss you feel and you are ever in my prayers. Thanks again for making such a trying time so much easier to face.-- Diane Ponton--Houston, Texas

Jackie, Blessings on your new marriage. I've known the Goads for over 36 years (I was born in Piqua, OH too) and I know Rick would have given his blessing for this new union and the rest of his family too. Rick has touched so many lives even after his passing and I know God reached out his hand to bring you the help you needed to continue the journey started through Rick's ministry. So for all you out there who will read this, trust me Rick is watching from above with a big old grin on his face and knows that Jackie and his children are being well taken care of! You and the rest of the Goads are always in my prayers!

Enjoyed the beautiful "My Miracle" music cd. I am hearing impaired and enjoy Christian music very much. However, I can't understand the words. Where's the lyrics so I can understand the songs?
Again, thanks for the beautiful musics.
My sympathy to the family of Rick's. Its hard to see someone battling with cancer and dies with it at young age. May he rest with God with happiness.

I was at work when I was given "My Miracle" The Holy Spirit grabbed hold of my spirit and tears began to well up. I read where Rick had said, “...either God is in control or He’s not and I choose to believe He is.”
We need more men and women when in the middle of their crisis they can recognize like Rick did, our God is faithful to us all. Be engourged and God Bless. Your Brother in Christ

My sympathy to your family in their loss. May you find peace in knowing that Rick lives on in his music and the lives that he has and will touch through his ministry.
I was just given Rick's CD by my daughter-in-law. I have a rare chronic liver disease which will end in liver failure. I was so touched by this CD. I can identify with what Rick is conveying in his music and lyrics. I am currently developing an emotional and spiritual support group for persons with chronic illnesses in my town and I hope to share Rick's CD with many others. Thank you Rick for the beauty and inspiration you have given to His children!

Hello Mr. Goad this is Nick Sanchez, I have to admit the first time that heard about The Goads or Rick Goad was about a year ago at an unbelievable business meeting in Minneapolis, and must say i fell in love with what you and your family are doing. I am listening to the CD that was sent out from Jackie Goad and at the end is one of Rick's song and I felt I needed to stop by and give my condolences and say I will be purchasing Rick's CD very soon and send it out to every person that I run into.
Thank you very much for blessing my life in the most amazing way, in the way that I love, music. But until we meet, God Bless and Thank you.

Hope you are doing well. The passing of Rick was a big blow to me .The Lord had me intercede for him .God told me to go to the hospital and minister to Him ,but when I asked I was told he was in ICU and only family could go there. I dont understand it but when I play guitar and minster to God people get healed. I waited and soon he was out of the hospital . I kept lifting him up to God .Thinking the next time I see you and rick I would ask to come over and soak in the presents of God .Soon I heard he was gone .My heart sank into my chest and was asking God why . I even got mad at God for a while. Then at the memoral or the next time i saw you at church your little girl came up to me and grabed my pinky as if to say take me home dady .Even though my may feelings were bouncing off the wall I tryed not to show it .Then months later I was looking at you and saw invisabul tears on your face eventhough you had a smile on your face .Then the next time I saw you the tears were gone it was if you were in a diferant place in your life .I dont know how you do it but you give me strength to go forword .Missed you at chior practice see ya soon .

Dear Goad family,
We were deeply saddened to find out about Rick's passing. Your family has ministered to ours for over 25 years. We are in Billy Florence's organization. I know that Rick's presence will continue to be with you as you continue your ministry. Ruth and Kurt you are so special to me and were so kind when I went through the ordeal with my first husband. I happened upon this website last evening while looking for new music from the beautifully anointed Goad family. My heart was stricken with grief when reading of Rick's homegoing. The Goads, and in particular, Rick, have been an inspiration to me for many years. Many years ago when visiting my church in Dallas, I was a recently divorced single mother with a broken heart and had given up hope of using my musical talents for the Lord and really didn't have a song in my heart any longer. Rick's ministry and his genuine humility, yet energetic eagnerness and open love for God came through loud and clear and encouraged me to continue in the gifts God had bestowed on me. I will never forget him for that.
I know that Rick and his family live their faith out loud. And although I am not a personal friend, and only connected with them a few times at churches and functions, the power of his love and faith touched my heart deeply, as one psalmist to another. I will continue to play his music and sing his songs as a tribute to his faith and to the glory of our wonderful Father in Heaven.
May the peace of God that passes all understanding fill your heart, Jackie, along with the rest of the Goad family.
I extend my sincere love, prayers and compassion to you.

Rick, We love you so much and miss your presence here on earth. You were such an inspiration to me and countless other during this past year. God was with us and knew exactly what He was doing. He doesn't make mistakes. I know you are with Him right now in a high place singing with the angles while at the piano. Now, sing your songs you and God wrote. Worship Him..for you are healed and have received your crown and robe.
It won't be long until we are together for eternity. You brought so much joy to my life. You were my gift from God. Thank you for loving me like you did and giving this world two beautiful children...Alex and Brennon.
Your legacy will live on....I love you...always...Thanks for asking me to marry you 12 years ago....Your wife, Jackie

Its Sunday morning and I just found out last night about the passing of Rick. I knew him over 30 years ago and have thought about The Goads many times over the years. Life is so unfair and cruel sometimes. What a talent and
a servant, What a fun guy and so great to be around. He left so soon. But I am so thankful I became
friends with him and his family.
I dont have any deep spiritual thought. I just know what a shame, What a loss. There are people in life who continually live it to the fullest and thus the Goads ministry is a shining example.
What a blessing and what a gift.

Thank you, Goads, for your joy, your example, consistency, your faithfulness and for all that you put into our lives unselfishly! Rick's CD has become a lifeline to our Father in Heaven for us in a rather trying time and it is such a treasure. We are sharing it so that others might know our Father in such an intimate way. In the midst of the pain, there can be sweetness of joy in Him. Thank you for pouring out all that He has filled you with. We love you!!

ROSES
There can be no understanding of why a tragedy of this nature took place, but there may be a much better way to look at the situation. If you are a gardener, and you have planted roses, you choose to pick the perfect rose at just the right time, when it is in full bloom.
There is no specific time that you can pick it, only when it is the most beautiful. If you can imagine God as the gardener, then for the family and friends of those who lost Rick Goad, God has just received the most beautiful bouquet of roses...and they will be in full bloom forever. I thought of Rick and my Dad up in Heaven together enjoying every minute of it.

Aloha Jackie and Family! It was great to see you all this past weekend at the Honolulu Spring Leadership. Thank you for standing strong and for passing on some of the torch despite your recent loss with our brother Richard, or better known as Rick. Jackie, I'm not sure if you'll remember me as I'm sure that you spoke with a great number of people but I requested that you sign one of Rick's CD covers. I just wanted you to know that I admire you so much for being strong through these times. It was very encouraging to see you giving your heart to people and wearing it on your sleeve! I hope to meet you again some day in the future. To Curtis, better known as Curt...it was great meeting you as well! I actually ran into you last Leadership 2006 but I wouldn't expect you to remember me either. Thank you also for signing my CD case of your brother's last CD before his passing and I want to also thank you for being strong and giving. My encouragement to the both of you and the rest of the family comes from the comforting words of our Father in Heaven...
...Sing to the Lord you saints of his, praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime, weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning!
Psalms 30:4-5
May the Lord's favor reign upon you and his strength pull you all through difficult times and the storms of life. My prayers are with you always and our brother Rick!

Hey Goadie Family!
Thank you to all of you & all that you represent and WHO you represent and live for each and every day! Your family has lived a thousand lifetimes of blessings and servanthood. It is my prayer that you could feel a fraction of the love & hope you have imparted on millions worldwide! How mighty you are as a family & warriors for the Lord.
Ricks presence is definately missed here on Earth, but we know Heaven has gained a glorious Angel!
I remember at the Portland Lloyd Center Doubletree ten years ago, Rick and I were the only 2 people working out in that tiny little gym. My eyes were a little red from crying about my dad who was dying of cancer at the time. Rick asked if my parents were saved. I told him we had just found out my dad accepted Christ was he was 18, but my mom hadn't yet. He stopped working out & walked over to the house phone and asked someone on the Goad Ministry team to put my parents on the prayer list...... This humbled me beyond belief. The genuine concern & love for others was happening for me personally. Those examples happen over and over with your family. You are awesome and inspiring!
Thank you not only for the prayers, listening ear, miles traveled, sacrifices, selflessness & music from the heart, but your eternal hope & infectious laughter & smiles!
You are all amazing & deserve God's BEST because that is what all of you are :)
It was an honor to know your brother. It is an honor to know all of you.
Hugs & prayers to you!

Dear Jackie and the entire Goad family,
Please accept our condolences during this time of sorrow and loss. There are no easy answers or quick scriptural fixes for the kind of immense grief you must be experiencing now. May you stay strong when you need to be strong, and may you take time to rest, and cry, and remember, and recover too. All these are so equally essential. My wife and I are thinking of you and sending loving thoughts your way.

DEAR Jackie,
The LORD's LOVE is SO VAST and SPECIFIC. He asked me to pray for you as soon as I sat down to meet with Him this morning. I want to share some of what He imparted to me as a way to encourage and uplift you:
...for HE HATH SAID, I will NEVER leave thee, NOR forsake thee (Heb. 13:5)
Is. 53 tells us that He was ...acquainted with grief and that He hath borne OUR griefs, and carried OUR sorrows (v. 3 and 4). You are not alone in what you're going through. ...with HIS STRIPES (bruises, wounds) WE are HEALED (made whole, made complete - Is. 53:5).
Asking the Lord to BLESS, KEEP and COMFORT you,
Elizabeth

DEAR Jackie,
My heart is WITH YOU; my husband died of pancreatic cancer on July 28, 2004. We heard the diagnosis the third Saturday in June and by the fourth Wednesday - ? - in July, he had gone to meet his Savior. Just today I asked the Lord if the Lord had been with him in the eight hours of physical suffering he had endured. The Lord assured me that He had been. That brought SO MUCH JOY to me! : ) I PRAISE the LORD for SAVING him and for GIVING him as THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT to ME for nearly seventeen years. Rick, my husband, was saved seven and one-half weeks before the Lord took him home; although I had prayed for his salvation for thirteen years, it was the LORD Who was FAITHFUL! : ) I am SO GRATEFUL to GOD for Who He IS : A loving, merciful, longsuffering, gracious, tenderhearted, sweet Savior! : )
I don't know whether you're familiar with GriefShare. It's a Christian-based grief program and I found it SO beneficial. They may have a group for children, as well. If you go to their website, you can type in your zip code and they will show you which groups are closest to you.
AGAIN, my HEART is WITH YOU. I am SO THANKFUL that you KNOW the Lord AND that He will be FAITHFUL to care for your EVERY NEED in your Rick's absence. When my Rick went home, JESUS MOVED IN in a way that I had NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE. The FULLNESS of His PRESCENCE was AMAZING, peace-sustaining and LIFE-GIVING. During the time Rick was sick, the Lord interacted with me in such a SPECIAL WAY. I am SO GLAD the Lord allowed me to care for Rick full-time from June 3rd until July 28th. That was a sweet time unlike any other. God is SO GOOD! Among other rich blessings, it was almost as if He gave me supernatural medical knowledge to care for Rick. That's EXACTLY what I wanted to do because that was RICK'S heart's desire. I EAGERLY AWAIT the DAY when I see JESUS face to face AND RICK! : )
Praying for ABUNDANT BLESSINGS for YOU and yours!
With love from your Sister-in-Christ,
Jason and Kelly Bowen

Jackie,
I am glad I had the chance to speak and pray with you in Milwaukee a few weeks ago. Rick has been a major influence on me. I am a worship leader at my church and have performed a few of Rick's songs. A couple years back, by Divine providence, Rick and I always seemed to be at the gym during Spring Leadership & FED at the same time. My favorite memory was one time we were next to each other on bikes in the excerise room and while working out we able to share with each other about the Lord and music and ministry. It was a tremendous blessing in my life. I have given several of Rick's CDs as gifts to my close friends who stood with me in prayer for Rick over the past year. The anointing on the CD is God Breathed. Take care of yourself and God bless you.

Hi Jackie,
Our kids have had the pleasure of being raised on the Goad's music. We all prayed for Rick during his illness and are praying for you and your family now that he has gone on to his reward. We were truely blessed by his CD as we drove home from Leadership. We gave a copy to the maid who made up our room and will hand out more copies to others we know. It is truely a God inspired CD and will encourage many to draw near to God regardless of their health. May God continue to wrap you and your family in his loving arms. We love you all.
God Bless

To the entire Goad family:
I just want to send my condolences to you all on your loss. I met you in the mid to late 70's in Frostburg, Maryland through Sam Beechie. What an inspiration you are to everyone who knows you. Even after this many years has passed, you cannot imagine how your influence in music touched my family and I. It led to many wonderful things in our lives. Rick was such a special person and I want you to know that you all are in our prayers.

Dear Jackie, Tim, Curt, Carolyn and family,
I first met you all at your concert (accept Jackie) at Shoreline Community Church, in Seattle Washington spring of 1989!
I was in the awful process of becomming a single parent at the time. God, through some friends, made sure I was at that concert.
I cannot express what an inspiration your family has been to me personally. I quickly read through your first book, "A Time To Live" and was so blessed. I won custody of my daughter a few months later and have raised her on my own ever since. She is now 20. Rick's track on "Holy Territory", 'In All Things', was and is a tremendous blessing to me.
A very close friend of mine handed me a CD last Saturday entitled "My Miracle", and last night I picked it up and noticed the name at the bottom. The tears falling from my eyes are of mixed feelings. I am so happy that he is with our Savior Jesus, but I am in shock, and send my deepest expressions of sadness for your loss, especially Jackie and the kids.
Please let us know how to be praying for you all, especially Jackie and the kids.
Thank you for how you have all blessed our lives!
You are in our prayers,
Mark & Kelcy Hume

I went to school with Rick starting in elementary school in Piqua, OH. We graduated together, The class of '81.
I remember being impressed with his God given talent at a very young age. I just couldn't understand how he could listen to music and just sit down and play it!! He was remarkable.
On a personal level, I have always been impressed with his kind and gentle nature. Every time I saw him or talked to him on the phone in the past 25 years, he always remembered me and took the time to get caught up. I just found out today that he died and I feel like the world and his family have really been short changed. I know he's fine, just feeling sorry for the rest of us.
Take care and may God continue to bless Ricks ministry.

Dear Goad Family,
I would like to express my sympathy to your entire family. Rick was such an awesome musician. You probably don't remember me because it has been almost 30 years since we last saw each other. I recall many fun times going to various churches in Ohio for your concerts. I also remember how much Rick enjoyed riding snowmobiles after the blizzard of "77".(Curt and I wrecked). Rick was such an inspiration to other musicians with his God-given talent and ability. His legacy will live on.
Sincerely,
