Richard E. Gresham, 68, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Gresham was born June 9, 1939, in Hamburg, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Estina (Winder) Gresham. He was a 1957 graduate of Benton High School.
Richard was a member of Carnegie Baptist Church and worked for many years at Mead Products in the shipping department before his retirement in 2001.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two sisters, Jean Ann Gresham and Donna Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Gresham of the home; daughter, Kim James, and husband, Kevin, St. Joseph; son, Kraig Gresham, and wife, Dana, St. Joseph; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Kandi, Kylee, Cole, Kyndell, Seth and Alec; great-grandson, Kaden; brother, Rick Winder, and wife, Jackie, Easton, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard enjoyed his grandchildren's sporting events, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph. Interment: Blakely Cemetery, Easton. Visitation: begins after 9 a.m. Sunday, at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Carnegie Baptist Church or Hands of Hope Hospice.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Richard, your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Cherish the memories..I can see the resemblence of my father Lloyd in the photo.

Joyce, we are so sorry for your loss. I remember Richard, the nights when I would spend the night back in high school, as being a caring man with a great sense of humor. Those were memorable times. He was a good man and will be truly missed. You and your family are in our prayers. God Bless You.
