Richard LeRoy Hall

Richard LeRoy Hall, 85, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully on 31 January, 2008, in Glendale, Arizona. Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held and cremation rites will be afforded. A memorial service was held at Glencroft Comm. Church in Glendale on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Richard was born June 23, 1922, in Davenport, Iowa, to Dr. Clyde C. Hall and Vera M. (Appleby) Hall. He married Wilma J Kellett on June 18, 1944, in Seattle, Washington. He later married Sara Charlton in 1967 in California.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Military Police, completing his service in 1945. He moved his family back to Davenport in 1947 and enrolled at Palmer School of Chiropractic, following in his father's footsteps. He received his Doctorate in 1953. After graduating from Palmer, he was employed by the clinic until 1960. He was also on the teaching staff. He was a Photographer, having his own business in the area, specializing in Wedding and Portrait Photos. In 1961 he went to work for the Rock Island Arsenal as a photographer.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sara; his three stepchildren, Paul Charlton, Nancy Shroyer and Peggy Londre. He is also survived by his children, Robert Hall, Rock Island, Ill., and his twin sister, Barbara James, Bettendorf, Iowa, Donald Eastin, Lowden, Iowa, Kenneth Eastin, Lake Park, Ga., and Larry Eastin, Davenport, Iowa, and their mother, Wilma Eastin, Davenport; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one great-great-granddaughter due Feb. 08.
Richard was preceded in death by his father and mother, stepmother, Dorothy Hall, and a brother, Clyde C Hall Jr., in early childhood.
